Learning Objectives 1. The clinical and public health significance of problem behaviors in persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders 2. Benefits and risks of prescribing psychotropic medications for problem behaviors in ASS 3. A pathway for the management of problem behaviors in ASD” 4. Participants will understand the nature of several multifaceted challenges in patients with ASDs/NDDs' experience in the pediatrician's office and other outpatient medical settings. 5. Participants will learn strategies to alleviate ASD-related anxiety symptoms, medical trauma, and other specialized needs in patients (and families) during pediatric visits. 6. Participants will understand the importance of multidisciplinary teams in formulating ASD/NDD-friendly treatment plans, tailored to the individual developmental and emotional profiles of each patient and family.
