Benefits and risks of prescribing psychotropic medications for problem behaviors in ASS 3. A pathway for the management of problem behaviors in ASD” 4. Participants will understand the nature of several multifaceted challenges in patients with ASDs/NDDs' experience in the pediatrician's office and other outpatient medical settings. 5. Participants will learn strategies to alleviate ASD-related anxiety symptoms, medical trauma, and other specialized needs in patients (and families) during pediatric visits. 6. Participants will understand the importance of multidisciplinary teams in formulating ASD/NDD-friendly treatment plans, tailored to the individual developmental and emotional profiles of each patient and family.

Finally, factors determining level of care recommendations and current evidenced-based treatment modalities will be presented.
